For load-bearing multi-story columns, we typically recommend S350GD or Grade 50 steel to maintain thin profiles without sacrificing mechanical safety margins.
How does Zinc-Aluminum-Magnesium (ZAM) coating compare to traditional hot-dip galvanization? +
ZAM coating contains zinc combined with approximately 6% aluminum and 3% magnesium. This formula creates a highly stable protective layer that is much more resistant to corrosion than pure zinc. The magnesium content enables the coating to self-heal along cut edges and punch holes.
