Direct from our state-of-the-art Chinese manufacturing plant, compliant with rigorous international quality standards.
In modern metallurgical engineering, corrosion mitigation is key to long-term structural integrity. Zinc-Aluminum-Magnesium (ZAM) alloy coating is a major advancement in steel protection. By adding aluminum and magnesium to a traditional hot-dip zinc bath, the coating gains self-healing properties, excellent edge protection, and high wear resistance.
Under atmospheric exposure, the aluminum and magnesium in the coating react to form a highly stable, dense protective film called Simonkolleite [Zn5(OH)8Cl2·H2O]. This crystalline compound acts as a barrier that slows down corrosion, outlasting traditional hot-dip galvanized (GI) coatings by up to 5 to 10 times in equivalent thickness trials.

How we align our manufacturing with the supply chain goals of international industrial buyers.
Large infrastructure works need consistent delivery. Our location near Tangshan and Tianjin Port ensures reliable shipping. With an annual capacity of 650,000 tons, we handle large volume orders with short lead times.
We provide full Mill Test Certificates (MTC) matching EN 10204 3.1, clean bill of lading structures, customized packing lists, and origin certifications. We help buyers navigate local anti-dumping duties and customs entry requirements.
Because ZAM has a higher corrosion resistance per micron, buyers can select lighter coating weights to achieve the same service life as heavy galvanized steel. This lowers both material costs and freight weight.
Where high corrosion resistance, durability, and cost efficiency are required.
Great for ground-mounted solar arrays, tracking systems, and rooftop racking. It resists weathering and handles structural shifting without edge corrosion.
Resists ammonia, animal waste, and high moisture levels inside livestock facilities and commercial plant nurseries.
Used for highway guardrails, sound barriers, sign posts, and utility poles where road salt and moisture accelerate rust.
Ideal for metal roofing, wall cladding, purlins, steel frame houses, and structural profiles in coastal or industrial zones.
Used for stamped internal auto parts, chassis reinforcement, and underbody components requiring high corrosion protection.
Protects high-voltage electrical cabling systems in commercial facilities, tunnels, and chemical plants.
Provides protection against marine atmospheres, saltwater spray, and high relative humidity without regular maintenance.
Used in industrial heating, ventilation, and cooling systems, protecting metal against condensate and chemical fumes.

Answers to common technical, logistics, and compliance questions about Zinc-Aluminum-Magnesium steel.
ZAM coating is a metallic alloy applied via hot-dip process. The typical composition includes a zinc base alloyed with approximately 1.5% to 3.5% aluminum (Al) and 1.5% to 3.0% magnesium (Mg). The small addition of magnesium forms a dense, stable protective film (Simonkolleite) on the surface, which slows down the corrosion process.
When ZAM steel is cut, sheared, or scratched, the exposed core steel is susceptible to rust. However, in the presence of moisture and air, magnesium and zinc ions dissolve from the surrounding coating and migrate to cover the cut edge. This forms a protective alkaline zinc carbonate film over the exposed steel, shielding it from rust.
Solar PV structures are designed to last 25 to 30 years in outdoor locations, including coastal areas. Traditional galvanized coatings can thin rapidly under constant moisture and atmospheric salt, requiring thicker coatings. ZAM provides equivalent or better corrosion protection at a lower coating weight, reducing steel weight and overall material costs.
Hansheng Technology is certified under ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems. All steel products, including ZAM coils, hot/cold rolled coils, and wire rods, are manufactured to comply with ASTM, EN, JIS, AS/NZS, and GB standards. We also accommodate third-party inspections (SGS, BV, etc.) before shipping.
For marine shipping, coils are wrapped in anti-corrosive VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) paper, secured with steel strapping bands, and mounted on heavy wooden skids. This setup helps prevent moisture and sea salt exposure during transit, keeping the product clean upon arrival at destination ports.
