We apply a chemical passivation layer (chromated or chrome-free) and a thin layer of protective oil to the coil surface. We also wrap each coil in high-strength volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) paper and seal it inside a heavy-duty steel sleeve. This setup prevents moisture from touching the zinc coating during maritime transit.
